It may seem strange to present an annual report about anything global in a year where we have been so restricted in our travel and separated for so long from our family and friends. Though the pandemic has certainly disrupted our goals and plans for international education and global programs, it has not stopped RIT Tigers from engaging with other cultures and working on solving some of the world's biggest challenges.
RIT Global’s Mission
Rochester Institute of Technology is emerging into one of the world’s most innovative, agile, diverse, and forward-thinking universities. At RIT we are committed to expanding opportunities for global education, international connections, work experience and cultural exchanges.

RIT - ChinaI chose to study abroad because I had never been outside of the east coast before, let alone the continental U.S., and wanted to learn about people and perspectives that I wouldn't have the chance to experience otherwise. I also love history and ancient cultures, so I really wanted to go to someplace with a really deep history.

Senior LecturerRIT has been a special place for me to enhance both my own international experiences and even more so those of my students in the School of International Hospitality and Service Innovation. During many teaching assignments back-and-forth to Croatia, I was able to experience students studying abroad at both campuses. It was exciting to see students return from Croatia having a new appreciation and understanding of Mediterranean tourism, post-war hotel development, and the role of the European Union in a transitional economy.
